No Altar Call Needed

He is Risen

Yes, Jesus Christ, has Risen!!!

My message to all: There is no altar call; God asks only that you have Faith.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

I say again, there’s no altar call, only that you have Faith. Grace is what is given to us by Jesus Christ’s death on the cross and His rising from the grave. He is our risen Savior; you only need Faith in His Son.

Think of the two thieves who died beside Jesus:

Luke 23:32, 39–43

There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death… Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

You see in the second man a person who humbled himself and was remorseful. He had faith at that very moment—without fanfare or an altar call—just Faith. Grace was extended to him who believed.

In Heaven, there was a celebration for the lost man. Like the prodigal, he came from the “far country” looking to the Father, and Heaven rejoiced. We know this because of the parables of joy found in Luke 15. The Father ran out and greeted His lost son, meeting him where he was—just as He will for us when we are lost.

I say again, there’s no altar call, only that you have Faith. Grace is what is given to us by His death on the cross. All you have to do is ask in prayer. Not an elaborate prayer, for God has known you since the very beginning. As it is written in Jeremiah 1:5:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you…”

He already knows who you are, and He waits for you with a simple prayer called The Lord’s Prayer:

Matthew 6:8–13

“For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

Remember: it truly is that simple. No aisles to walk, no audience to face—just you, a heart of Faith, and the Grace given through the Cross. Just ask.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the gift of this day and the ultimate gift of Your Son. We are humbled by a Grace that does not demand a performance, but simply invites us home. For every heart reading these words that feels far from the “shore,” let them feel the warmth of Your welcome right where they stand. May the reality of the Risen Christ be more than a story to us; may it be our breath and our hope. Lead us in Your peace, provide our daily bread, and keep us in the light of Your love.

In the name of the Risen Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
